Resellers

A reseller is a customer with their own customers, who creates their VPSs from the panel or from their own WHMCS, with their own API key, within the limits you choose.

Creating a reseller

In Customers and plans, on the customer, Reseller › Make reseller:

• limits: VPSs, vCPUs, RAM, disk (additional disks included) and additional IPs. 0 = no limit; for additional IPs 0 = none;
• plans they can sell and nodes and zones where they can create VPSs (none selected = all).

The limits count the reseller's VPSs and their customers' ones, whatever changes them (even a customer adding a disk from their area). For you, the administrator, limits don't apply.

An existing customer moves under a reseller with Reseller › Client of a reseller. No longer a reseller turns them back into a normal customer: their customers become direct and their API keys are deleted.

What the reseller can do

• In their area, Reseller page: limit usage, their customers, New client, Create VPS (for themselves or a customer, with their plans and nodes) and the API keys for their WHMCS.
• In Services they also see their customers' VPSs and manage them like their own.
• With the API (the same WHMCS module): create customers and VPSs, suspend and reactivate, change plan, disks and additional IPs within the limits, login links for their customers. External references (whmcs-123) only apply to their WHMCS: they don't mix with yours.
• They don't see nodes, IPs, other customers or settings. They suspend only for billing and can't reactivate a VPS you suspended. Custom resources (speed, traffic) stay yours.
